About Carmona's Collision Repair

Carmona Brothers Autobody was first established in Southgate, CA in 1945, by Rudy Carmona’s grandfather, Louis Carmona Sr. and his brother Cassimero Carmona. , Louis Sr. was also Owner/Mgr. of Carmona's Paint & Body in Bellflower, Masters Paint & Body in La Habra, and Carmona's Auto Body in Whittier. Rudy’s father, Louis Jr. grew up learning the autobody and collision repair trade in the Whittier shop.

In 1968, Louis Jr. opened Rite Way Autobody  in Fullerton, CA, with a partner. A few years later, he moved on to lease the Toyota dealer body shop from Bob Jones Toyota in Fullerton. In the Bob Jones Toyota Body Shop, Rudy and his older brother Tony learned the various aspects of autobody and collision repair trade from their father at the Toyota body shop.

Louis Jr. closed his shop in 1983 and he, Rudy, and Rudy’s older brother Tony went to work for other body shops. Rudy worked part-time as a body man’s helper for his father, while pursuing a business degree as a part-time college student. One of his classes involved a semester-long setup of a mock business startup, including the process of seeking an SBA loan. 

At the end of the semester, Rudy realized he had everything in place to launch a new body shop, so he approached his father, shared his idea and vision, and requested his backing. Louis Jr. backed him and in 1989, Rudy and his brother Tony opened Complete Autobody & Paint in Fullerton, CA. 

After 35 years of trials, tribulations, highs, lows, and many lessons learned, Rudy and his wife, Tina, are now the sole owners of Carmona’s Collision Repair in Fullerton, occupying a 47,000 sq. ft. facility. Their vision is to create a legacy MSO operation that will stand for generations to come. Their strategy to achieve this is based upon integrity - providing their customers with the highest quality repairs and best service to be found anywhere.
